💚 This Mental Health Awareness Month, Primavera sees you.

Every student carries a story — and yours deserves compassion, support, and understanding. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do. You are not alone. Across Arizona, millions of people navigate mental health challenges every day, and real support exists for you.

Small steps truly matter: step outside, rest, eat something nourishing, and let the people who love you show up for you. Healing doesn't have to happen all at once.

✨ Today's spotlight goes to someone who makes science exciting, engaging, and fun. Meet Shaun Brown, Primavera's 6th Grade Middle School Science teacher and one of the many amazing educators who make our school special!

✏️ How long have you been teaching?

I have taught for over 14 years now in various schools and districts in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.

📚 What is one thing you hope every student takes away from your class?

I get up every day and share knowledge about the world around us, interact with young moldable minds and personalities, and model how to be a kind and considerate person. I care about the effort someone puts into bettering themselves through their journey amidst assignments, projects, exams, and establishing relationships with the peers and adults around them.

😀 What is a fun fact about you?

A fun fact about me is that I am an avid pickleball player! I play 4 times a week for 2 to 3 hours at a time. I have been fortunate to establish wonderful friendships and fulfill my competitive drive because of this phenomenal sport!

🤠 Student Spotlight: Meet Mikey!

At 11, Mikey was already working with horses and cattle. By 14, he had handled more than 200, building the instincts and confidence that the rodeo world demands.

Mikey is a rodeo bullfighter. When a rider hits the ground and a bull charges, he's the one who steps in. It takes courage, quick thinking, and a commitment most adults never find.

People noticed. World Champions took him under their wing and in his very first full year competing, Mikey earned Junior Bullfighter of the Year. Now he's training harder than ever, chasing more buckles and preparing for an invitation-only bullfighting school alongside the best in the sport.

His mom calls him determined, loyal, and willing to put himself out there. We couldn't agree more. 🤙

At Primavera, we believe school should fit your life- not the other way around. As Mikey travels, trains, and competes, his education moves right with him. That's what we're here for! 🎓

Thank you to every family who has trusted us with your child's education. Thank you to every student who showed up, worked hard, and made us proud. And thank you for believing that education can look different — and still be amazing.
