Meet Jaren Hudgens, a 7th Grade Math Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching students from 3rd grade through adulthood. We are so grateful for dedicated educators like Jaren!

"I believe all students can succeed in math and strive to make learning fun and engaging. I focus on building strong relationships to boost student confidence, knowing the learning will follow. Before teaching, I worked in law enforcement and coached volleyball at multiple levels. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and spending time in the mountains with my 110-pound LabraDane, Sully. 🏔️🐾

“I grew up in a family of educators, where I learned early that every student learns differently. Watching my parents work with their students showed me the importance of adapting instruction to meet individual needs rather than simply following the curriculum. In my own classroom, I enjoy using real-life examples to help students make meaningful connections and engage their imagination. I also believe that incorporating humor and maintaining a positive, supportive environment encourages students to take risks and feel safe learning from mistakes.
In addition, I have a strong background in technology. My mother was a computer teacher, so I was introduced to technology at a very young age. I have extensive experience with coding and use those skills to create tools and streamline tasks, allowing me to work more efficiently and dedicate more time to supporting my students." 💻✨
