We had the opportunity to host and train with Air Evac of Seminole over LZ Operations during our monthly Fire meeting. This collaboration with the air ambulance services allows us to have awareness of not only the safety operations of the service but the specific capabilities they are able to contribute to our continued efforts to better serve our community.

The City of Chandler invites you to celebrate the grand opening of McClanahan Park on July 4th! The park is named in honor of Jerry McClanahan, Chandler resident and Route 66 author, artist, historian, and Oklahoma Route 66 Hall of Fame inductee.

The grand opening will take place from 7–9 p.m. and will feature guest speakers, a ribbon cutting, and a free concert by local band RedLand. Attendees will also get to see the park’s 30-foot-tall statue of the 66 Man, a superhero character created by McClanahan. 66 Man merchandise will also be available for purchase. Free shuttle bus service will be provided to transport attendees to and from the park. Full shuttle and parking information will be provided soon.

The fireworks show will still take place at Bell Cow Lake at 10 p.m. There will be no fireworks at the park, and the fireworks at the lake are not visible from the park. Please plan accordingly so you do not miss the show.

Please join us in congratulating Firefighter Brett Ramsey on completing the High School Firefighter Program through EOC!

Brett was also recognized as the Outstanding Student of the Fire Program an incredible achievement that reflects his dedication, work ethic, and commitment to the fire service.

He has represented the Chandler Volunteer Fire Department with pride, and we couldn’t be more proud of his accomplishments. We look forward to watching his continued growth and future success as a firefighter.

Thank you to Emergency Vehicles of Oklahoma!

We’re proud to introduce Unit 108 — a 2025 F-350 300-gallon brush truck. This addition will strengthen our response capabilities and serve as a valuable asset to our existing fleet.

We look forward to putting this unit to work serving our community.

Chandler residents, please be aware that the railroad crossing at 15th and Allison is experiencing some technical difficulties at this time. The railroad has been contacted and is sending someone out to repair it. Please find another way around at this time.

OG&E has notified us that electric service and the roadway in the affected area could be shut down for approximately 4 hours. Crews should prepare for possible access limitations and power outages during that timeframe.
