Happy First Day of Summer Day Camp Channahon! ☀

We are excited to introduce our largest class of Camp Counselors ever! These young adults have been busy training and getting ready for the season and it is finally here! We couldn't be more proud of them and are excited to welcome all of the campers today!

Today is the big day - Tomahawk Aquatic Center officially opens for the season at noon! ☀️

T-24 Hours Until We Officially Open! ☀️

As a big THANK YOU to our guests coming out early opening weekend we are giving away these clear reusable beach bags to the first 25 families at admissions on both Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31!*

A few reminders for pool season -
🗓️ We are open 7 days a week for Day Time Public Swim from 12-5PM
🌙 Evening Swim is available Monday through Thursday 6:30-8:30PM
🛟 No flotation devices are allowed inside of Tomahawk Aquatic Center other than US Coast Guard approved puddle jumpers
🥪 No coolers, outside food, or drinks (other than water) are allowed inside. We encourage guests to take advantage of the concession stand or pack a picnic in the car to enjoy outside of the pool in the park!
📏 Guests must be 48in or taller to ride the big blue and green slides
👙 All guests entering the pool must be in swim wear, no steet clothes or shoes allowed in the water.

Summer Men's League Basketball NOW ENROLLING! ☀️🏀

Get a group of friends or co-workers together and join the exciting Men’s Basketball League! All games will be played according to IHSA rules with a few house rules. All games will have 2 twenty minute halves and a 5 minute half time. This league includes a seven-game regular season, playoffs, league standings, officials, and scorekeepers. Awards will be given to top teams in the league and winners of the tournament. Sign up with your team. Teams must be made up of 60% of residents to be considered a resident team.

Location: Heritage Crossing Field House
Fee/Resident Discount: $775/$675 (per team)
Max: 10 teams
Deadline: June 1
Regular Season Games: June 7 - August 16
Playoff Games: August 23 & August 30
Times: 1PM

Double Good News for this Gorgeous Friday! ☀️

1 - Ronald Lehman Community Park Splash Pad and Arroyo Trails Water Play feature are both NOW OPEN! Cool down with friends all summer long at both of these awesome parks!

2. Speaking of Arroyo Trails - the trail is fully repaired and safe for visitors to enjoy again! Come on out and enjoy the best of what late spring’s beauty has to offer!

The biggest Channahon Shout Out to our parks and facilities teams for their hard work to ensure both of these projects were ready ahead of the holiday weekend! You guys ROCK!

Tomahawk Aquatic Center opens next week which means our Adaptive Swim Lessons are almost back! 🏊‍♀️

Adaptive swim lessons are for participants with documented special needs or disabilities. Participants will be placed with an instructor, depending on needs, either individually or in a small group. A variety of swimming skills will be worked on such as going underwater, supported and unsupported floating, kicking, and exhaling underwater. Adaptive lessons are not taught to a lesson curriculum, but rather participant need.

"What is with the fence next to the skate park?"

Central Park is getting a brand new Fitness Court in cooperation with National Fitness Campaign! This free outdoor gym will feature body weight and resistance training in an open air environment. The sand volleyball court that was previously there be be back and is getting an upgrade as well!
