Our Next Adult Adventure: Apple Picking at County Line Orchard 🍎

There is no better memory than picking apples with the family! Every year County Line Orchard grows new varieties for guests to enjoy. We currently have over 30 varieties spread across acres of land. Tractors will take guests on a scenic country ride through the fields, and you pick the apples! Enjoy time to walk the Orchard and farm, shop and enjoy the fall activities! This is a walking trip on uneven and possibly wet/muddy ground. Fee includes transportation, apple picking and admission.

Location: Arrowhead Community Center/ County Line Orchard, Hobart Indiana
Fee: $50 (transportation and admission included)

It is almost time for Co-Ed Instructional Volleyball 🏐
Grades 3rd-5th

Caroline Smith will focus on teaching the fundamental skills of volleyball while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship. Instructions will be given at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Players will be divided by grade and or ability. All participants will learn new skills, practice old skills, and play volleyball games during every class session.

Location: Heritage Crossing Field House
Fee/Resident Discount: $85/$70

This week members of the Channahon Park District staff were able to come together after work to help pack bags for the Rotary Club of Channahon-Minooka School Backpack Program! 📚🚌

Over 2000 bags were packed in just over an hour! Thank you to the Rotary Club for the invite and to The Village Christian Church for hosting - our staff always looks forward to this event and getting to be a small part in this awesome community initiative!

Pickle It Up! is back with one more session for fall at our new Central Park Pickleball Courts!
Ages 6-17 years

Welcome to Pickleball! You have tried your parents’ paddles, or maybe you have one of your own. Whatever it is, grab it and come check out our pickleball lessons! Fun is first. The rules, the court and swing mechanics are second. You can even bring a friend so you will have a built-in doubles partner. All players are welcome!

August Employee(s) of the Month - Quincy Harris & Morgan Prosise ☀️🛟

We will never run out of good things to say about our Tomahawk Aquatic Center staff - especially Quincy, our lead onsite manager, and Morgan, concession manager! These young adults have lead the way for another phenomenal summer and we couldn't be more grateful. From snow cones and special events to swim lessons and scenario training, Quincy and Morgan have led the way!
