The House of Nubia is an organization formed to promote the social, cultural, and educational interests of the Nubian diaspora in the greater Washington DC metropolitan area. It is a non-profit organization led by Nubians from both genders, aiming to preserve Nubian heritage among its diaspora and work towards the maintenance and enhancement of the original language and culture within the diaspora
and in the Nubian region. The organization prioritizes targeting youth and empowering them to play a central role in the long-term preservation of Nubian cultural heritage. This is achieved through their involvement in heritage-related activities such as workshops, internal training, and cultural exchange programs. The organization undertakes the task of connecting the youth with their timeless heritage, whether in the diaspora or in the ancestral land, aiming to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in future generations. Believing that connecting youth with Nubian culture and teaching them the original language, both written and spoken, is the right path to promote and strengthen Nubian identity structures. Additionally, the organization takes on the responsibility of supporting Nubians above the Nubian land in planning and supporting in areas of education, healthcare, agriculture, and economy. While the House of Nubia serves the interests of the diaspora, it also encompasses a broader aim of fostering cultural awareness and appreciation among the Nubian community in the greater DC metropolitan area.بيت النوبة هو منظمة تم تشكيلها لتعزيز المصالح الإجتماعية والثقافية والتعليمية للشتات النوبي في منطقة العاصمة واشنطن الكبرى. وهو منظمة غير ربحية يقودها النوبيون من الجنسين ،وتهدف إلى الحفاظ على التراث النوبي فى صفوف الشتات، والعمل من أجل صيانة وترقية اللغة والثقافة الأصلية فى الشتات وفى الأرض النوبية. وتضع المنظمة ضمن أولى أولوياتها مسألة إستهداف الشباب وتمكينهم للعب دور محورى فى عملية الحفاظ على التراث الثقافي النوبى على المدى الطويل. وذلك من خلال إشراكهم فى الأنشطة المتعلقة بالتراث، مثل ورش العمل والتدريب الداخلي وبرامج التبادل الثقافي، وتضطلع المنظمة بمهمة ربط النشء بتراثهم الخالد سواء فى الدياسبورا او فى أرض الأجداد بهدف غرس الشعور بالفخر والمسؤولية في الأجيال القادمة. إيمانا منها بأن ربط النشء بالثقافة النوبية وتعليمهم اللغة الأصلية كتابة وحديثا هو الطريق الصحيح لترقية وتدعيم هياكل الهوية النوبية ، وعلاوة على ذلك تضع المنظمة على عاتقها أمر دعم النوبيين فوق الأرض النوبية تخطيطا ومساندة فى مجالات التعليم والرعاية الصحية والزراعة و الإقتصاد.
وفي حين أن بيت النوبة يقوم بخدمة مصالح الشتات، فإنه يشمل أيضًا هدفًا أوسع يتمثل في تعزيز الوعي الثقافي والعمل الاجتماعي فى صفوف نوبيى منطقة العاصمة الكبرى.
