Annual Chaparral High School Bonfire 🐺

The high school will be holding its annual bonfire soon. Please be aware that you may see high flames and heavy smoke in the direction of the high school during the event.

🚒 Station 6 firefighters will be on standby at the high school throughout the event to ensure safety.

👉 If you see flames or smoke anywhere else in Chaparral, please call 911 immediately.

🚨 Important Announcement 🚨

Farsouth Fire Rescue has officially consolidated with Boles Acres Fire & Rescue and Oro Vista Fire & EMS. Together, we are now Otero County Fire-EMS District 1.

This consolidation brings several important benefits to our community, including:
✅ A stronger budget that allows for better equipment and resources
✅ More support from neighboring stations during large fires
✅ Shared training opportunities to keep our firefighters ready and prepared
✅ A unified department structure that improves coordination

We are proud to serve as Otero County Fire District 1 – Station 6 and look forward to continuing our mission of protecting lives and property in our community.

We will continue to use this page to share updates, safety information, and important news with our community.

Reminder this Saturday 🙌

Farsouth Fire Rescue is hosting an open house event on July 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at our station located at 827 Luna drive, we'll be having activities for kids and adults, food and drinks, and a chance to see the inside of the trucks. Be sure to bring swimwear for the kids.

We stand in support of his family, colleagues, and the entire law enforcement community during this time of loss. May his service and dedication to our region never be forgotten.
