"My name is Sydney Silver, and I am excited to join the Ephesus community this year! I am a School Counseling Student Intern from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I recently moved from Austin, Texas and am excited to learn more about the area. Some fun facts about me are that I have two cats and have recently tried taking on growing tomatoes. I look forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff this year!"

"I am so excited to begin my first year at Ephesus Elementary School! Returning to the school I attended from kindergarten through third grade makes this a truly special, full-circle moment. I am a proud mom to two amazing boys, ages 6 and 3, who are my whole world. I enjoy traveling, gardening, singing, cooking, and spending time with my family. I can't wait for a wonderful school year filled with laughter, creativity, learning, and fun!"

"I was lucky to student teach at Ephesus last year, and now I’m excited to officially join the team! I love North Carolina and highly value community engagement because of my experiences with AmeriCorps and background in Anthropology. I enjoy cooking, learning new things, and spending time with my dog. I am so excited to be back with Ephesus’ amazing team and students!"

My name is Kentisha Dinham, and I am so excited to be joining the Ephesus team this school year! ❤️ This year will be my tenth year teaching! I've taught grades 1, 2, and 3 in both Eastern North Carolina and Detroit, Michigan. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with my two cats Tabbi and Taz. I recently decided to move back to North Carolina and I couldn't be happier to be joining such a welcoming school community.

STEAM Night 2026 was a huge success! Students proudly showed off their WOW art projects, built parachutes, used microscopes and played with robots! Thank you to all of our community partners who joined us for the event.
