Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation

Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation The Public School Foundation creates opportunities for students and teachers in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. We are fundraisers and grant makers.

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation is the only independent, non-profit organization whose purpose is to mobilize support for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools by securing private funding for innovative projects that cannot be funded by local, state or federal dollars. We believe that all students deserve the best possible education and that teachers are our most valuable resource.

📚🌞 Summer Story Time is being held across the district this June. Join one or many as CHCCS teachers read aloud to children. Free books are given to those who show up.

Story time matters! Why?

📚Self-selection of books is important. When children choose their own books, it increases motivation and engagement.
📚 Reading just 10 books over the summer can prevent “summer slide” in literacy!
📚 Gathering together also strengthens home-school connections between families and educators.

Dates, times and locations vary, so be sure to check out the graphics for details for ALL the Summer Story Times.

We hope to see you there! 👋
