Project Compassion

Project Compassion Project Compassion creates community and provides support for people living with serious illness, caregiving, end of life and grief.

Project Compassion is a non-profit organization that strives to create a positive, friendly, and supportive community around an individual living with an illness. There are many different "teams" (groups of 6-12 people) who will help their "friend" (the person living with the illness) with a variety of tasks that range from yard-work to cooking to simply listening to what your friend has to say. T

eam members will only do what they enjoy doing, so if you do not enjoy to cook or do laundry, you will not have to do those tasks. This is made possible by the idea of being a part of a team, rather than an individual doing everything for their friend. One person cooks somebody cleans, someone runs errands, etcetera. Each side of the relationship benefits equally. The person living with the illness gets the help that he/she needs to maintain a life as it would be without the illness, you gain a valuable experience, and you each gain a true friend.
