The Orange County Solid Waste Management Department manages the Orange County Construction and Demolition Landfill at 1514 Eubanks Rd, including the management of separated regulated materials of clean wood, scrap metal, large appliances, corrugated cardboard, tires and yard waste. Mulch and Compost are for sale at the Landfill location. The Solid Waste Management Department is also responsible fo
r the staffing and operation of five Convenience Centers county wide, and all of the County's recycling programs including three 24-hour recycling drop-off sites, urban (weekly) curbside recycling, rural (every other week) recycling, recycling at apartment complexes, for public schools, and over 300 non-residential, government and commercial entities. Additional waste management services include household hazardous waste collection facilities, electronics recycling, education and outreach, special event recycling, and commercial food waste and organics collection.
