The start to a hot fun week has begun. Lets take a moment and talk about Saturday evening. 1st I want to thank the city council members and TNT fireworks for the fireworks show that we all are going to enjoy. With that being said, I want everyone safe during this event. If you look at the map, we have a lot of the ball fields blocked off. The question is why? Well its for your safety.

We are going to have fire trucks parked in the parking lot as close to the ball fields as we can. We have set up an area in the outfields if you want to bring lawn chairs or blankets to watch. This is in case a firework doesn't properly go off.

You can walk through the walking areas if you chose to park your vehicles in the south grass area. However, you won't be able to sit or stand in those areas when the fireworks show begins.

Lastly, we ask that no one actually parks on old 40. Please park on the grass lot or the ball field parking lot. Please watch for no parking signs in and around the ball fields. I'm sorry if there is any inconvenience for anyone wanting to watch the fireworks. Safety is the top priorty! If you have any questions, please reach out to myself or Fire Chief Saunto. Thanks everyone for understanding and helping others to be safe. Have fun and see you all this weekend.

This morning Investigator Mikheev took on some eager CES students at a game of kickball. She wouldn’t say whether she lost or won against the kids. All had fun though no matter what.

School starts this week and the flashing lights are flashing. We remind everyone to slow down from the summer break and to watch for the kids and staff as they come back to school. A new new law has gone into affect as well. No cell phone use in school or work zones unless you are hands free. Together we all need to keep our community safe. Have great school year everyone.
