Hope everyone has a safe and happy forth of July. Please be responsible when shooting off fireworks and make sure there an adult around when the kids are shooting or lighting any. Remember to make sure you put all discharged fireworks in a metal bucket or bucket with water before putting them in the trash bins.

Chapman fire doing annual hose test for our ISO required points. 1 engine done and 1 engine left to do. Happy to say all hose has passed for the year.

NO BURNING IN CHAPMAN TODAY THRU TOMORROW.

No burning is allowed in Chapman for the day. Wind gusts and very low humidity has the area in a high fire danger with easily spread fire and they will grow rapidly. Thanks for your understanding.

Burn ban for City of Chapman has been lifted. Still need a permit to burn yard waste. No permit is required for recreational fires in approved and regulated fire pits. These are for recreational only and must be 3in or larger diameter wood chunks. Also must have an adult and water supply close by. Enjoy, be safe, and use common sense when wanting to burn by watching weather and winds. Next few days are up and down on wind speeds so be sure that all fires are well wetted down and out prior to departing them.
