Congratulations are in order for these 10 newly certified Water Rescue Technicians from Chapmanville, Logan County #2, Gilbert, Oceana, and Cyclone, who will serve as valuable assets to their communities.

It is with heavy hearts that the Chapmanville Fire Department extends our deepest condolences to the members of the Cora Volunteer Fire Department and the family and friends of Chief George Hill.

Chief Hillโ€™s lifetime of service, leadership, and dedication to his department and community leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. The fire service is a family, and today we join together in mourning the loss of one of our own.

We are grateful for Chief Hillโ€™s unwavering commitment to protecting others and for the example he set for generations of firefighters. May his memory continue to inspire all who answer the call.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hill family, the members of the Cora Volunteer Fire Department, and everyone whose lives were touched by Chief Hill during this difficult time.
