Last week, the Chardon Job Training Program celebrated Delaney Hagan and all of her incredible accomplishments as she graduates from the program!

Throughout her time in Chardon and the job training program, Delaney has demonstrated tremendous growth in her employability skills, resilience and adaptability.

“While we will miss her bright smile and wonderful energy around Chardon, we are so excited to see her take this next step into her future,” Vocational/Special Ed Supervisor Jaina Gandolfi said.

Chardon High School Baseball claimed a district title with a 6-3 victory over Aurora yesterday!

The Hilltoppers now advance to the “Sweet Sixteen” with a regional semifinal matchup against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy set for Wednesday, June 3.

The Chardon Middle School Builders Club has had a busy end of the school year!

In April, Builders Club wrapped up their annual paper towel drive with a visit to Rescue Village. There they dropped off their paper towel donations – over 150 rolls of paper towels – and had a tour to learn all about the organization’s operations.

Also in April, Builders Club assembled grocery bags for End 68 Hours of Hunger, which is an organization that provides weekend food bags for local schoolchildren in need.

Finally, they wrapped up the end of the year by assembling 30 cosmetic bags for the Chardon High School Care Closet. Each bag contained hair ties, scrunchies, a hairbrush, bobby pins and a bottle of hairspray.

These students have done a fantastic job supporting the community!

REGIONAL FINALS BOUND:

The Chardon High School boys’ volleyball team defeated NDCL yesterday to advance to the regional finals! With this massive victory, our Hilltoppers are now ONE WIN AWAY from the OHSAA Final Four.

Regional Championship:

Earlier this week, the hallways of Chardon Early Learning Center were filled with nostalgia as graduating seniors returned to where their Hilltopper journeys began as students at Maple Elementary for a walk down memory lane.
