The Melzer-Smith Memorial Foundation was founded in 2016 with the vision and purpose of helping graduating students from Chardon High School with the financial portion of furthering their education, which will prepare them for a productive career and a better life in their community.

Only a little over a month until the golf outing and we have tickets for this year's quilt donated by Bonnie Feigle Clemson. It is a beauty. Also we have a change on the line up card this year. Our caterer for the first 10 years, The Prots family, retired from the scene so we have filled the spot with a new hard working and upcoming team. A & R Hillbilly BBQ & Smoking. Ann & Rusty will be cooking up a great meal after a tremendous day on the course. We'll see all of you on the 12th. Get your quilt tickets before they're gone.

Good evening all. The other day we made it known that we will be collecting monetary donations for the Claridon Community Helps program at our outing July 12th. All individuals donating at least $20 will have you name entered into a drawing for a special prize. These donations will help feed school kids in Geauga County this summer thru the "Now That's What I'm Talking About" summer lunch. We ask you to please spread the word to all golfers in the outing. See ya at the course.

Our 2026 quilt for the annual golf outing. Thank you Bonnie Feigle Clemson for another 5 star quality quilt. It can be yours but only if you purchase a ticket or 6!! Tickets available for $5 or 6 for $20. It does measure approximately 6' x 6' and looks very comfortable. My favorite section of this quilt is the bottom left corner. Hit me up. See ya

Attention to all golfers in the Melzer Smith Memorial Scholarship Foundation outing. A couple of announcements. Don't forget the tee time has been moved up to 10:00 this year. Last year the Veteran's food pantry was the recipients of all of your generous donations and matching donations. Thank you again. This year the recipient will be Claridon Community Helps. This is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. An average of 26% of children in Geauga County's 5 public schools receive free/reduced lunch during the school year. They want to make sure no child goes hungry during the summer months. In their first 7 years they have provided 82,568 lunches, 18,630 this past summer. This program is run 100% on donation so let's step up as only we can. Please spread the word. Thank you
