Women United and Reach Out & Read
Women United of United Way Services of Geauga County is two weeks into their Reach Out and Read Campaign which continues through the month of August! The goal is to raise $5,000 to purchase more children's books for this innovative program. 📚 Why is a program like Reach Out and Read important? Many parents and caregivers in Geauga County lack resources to purchase books for their children.
Through Reach Out and Read, pediatricians provide new, age-appropriate books to children from birth to 5 years old during well-child visits to promote reading at home. Since 2018, Women United has provided 3,500+ new books to University Hospitals pediatric practices in Chardon and Middlefield.
Every dollar donated to will go towards the purchase of books. Watch this video to learn more about this important initiative . . . and please donate here: https://bit.ly/3oPLixm

2022 Day of Action
We love Geauga County! Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked with us on our Day of Action! ❤️
United Way Stands With Ukraine
We have illuminated the windows of our Euclid Avenue offices in blue and gold as a symbol of our solidarity with Ukraine. Northeast Ohio is home to thousands of Ukrainians with loved ones who remain overseas and under attack. Among our efforts to support them, United Way is contributing $10,000 to assist Global Cleveland's efforts to support Ukrainians fleeing the attack on their country. Those efforts include welcoming them to the community and finding a home when they arrive here and elsewhere. We continue to #StandWithUkraine.
As 2021 closes, we at United Way Services of Geauga County are giving a huge #ThankYouThursday to YOU- the amazing people that make our work possible.
Check out this year-end message from our President & CEO, Augie Napoli. And, if you can, consider donating to help us keep the momentum going into 2022: bit.ly/3FLXtlJ
