Chitimacha Fire Protection would like to take a moment to sincerely thank Andrew Degenhardt from Fire & Emergency Training Academy (FETA) for providing two outstanding days of Modern Fire Attack training.

Training opportunities like these are extremely important to the fire service. They allow firefighters to continue building their knowledge, sharpen critical skills, and stay prepared to respond safely and effectively whenever our communities need us most. Firefighting is constantly evolving, and continuing education helps ensure we are always ready to meet those challenges head-on.

We also want to recognize and thank our neighboring departments who attended and trained alongside us, including District 11 Fire Department and Jeanerette Fire Department. Working and training together strengthens not only our individual departments, but also the partnerships and teamwork that are so vital during emergency response.

To Andrew, thank you again for sharing your experience, knowledge, and dedication with all of us. And to every firefighter who participated, thank you for your commitment to serving and protecting our communities.

The event's success was contingent upon the collaborative efforts of Social Services, Health, CTS, and Cypress Bayou Casino.

Chitimacha Fire extends its sincerest gratitude to each participant for their tireless efforts, dedication, and commitment to prioritizing the safety, security, and educational well-being of tribal youth.

Chitimacha Fire would like to thank Inflatable Time & GRentals for another year of great service!
