Iowa HHS is aware that some SNAP recipients had their EBT cards canceled. As a result, some customers are currently unable to use their SNAP cards.

New replacement cards have been issued and should arrive in 5-7 days. Please do not request a new EBT card because a new card has already been issued.

If you have questions in the meantime, please contact our customer support team at 1-877-347-5678

Introducing Iowa’s New SUN Bucks Program! Starting in early June 2026, eligible Iowa school-age children will receive $120 in grocery benefits per child to support healthy eating when school’s out.

There are two ways children can qualify for SUN Bucks: automatic eligibility or with an application. Most eligible families won’t need to file a SUN Bucks application. But if you do, applications open in early June.

Learn more about eligibility requirements and discover if you need to file an application at https://hhs.iowa.gov/assistance-programs/food-assistance/sun-bucks.

This is a great service to Wayne and All the counties.

The Corydon Lion’s Club is partnering with SCICAP and the Counting Sheep Group.
Pictured are Lion’s Club members ,Russ Danielsen, Dennis Thomas and Ron Gibbs. Ron is also a Wayne Community Foundation Board member.

The Corydon Lions Club is excited to partner with SCICAP and the Counting Sheep Group of Chariton to bring a much‑needed service to Wayne County: building and delivering beds for children who don’t have one. Each child receives a handcrafted bed, a brand-new mattress, bedding, and pillows, all provided by volunteers.

This project just received a boost with a $5,000 grant from the Wayne County Board of Supervisors, helping cover materials and expand the number of families served.

If you know a child ages 3–17 who needs a bed, applications are now open: 📞 641‑872-1282 📍 Wayne County Outreach, 203 Franklin St., Corydon
