Auto Extrication · Ag Rescue · Water/Ice Rescue · Terrestrial Search · Technical Rescue · Trench Collapse · HAZMAT Response · Confined Space Rescue · Fire Support Floyd County Search & Rescue is a government entity tasked with providing emergency response and support services to area public safety agencies and ultimately to the residents and visitors of Floyd County, Iowa. Membership is made up o

f volunteers with experience in firefighting, law enforcement, emergency medical services, military training and other related fields. In addition to monthly meetings and training, the 20 active members also participate in routine certifications, advanced training and continued education. The organization’s multi-emergency rescue vehicle (MERV), Polaris Ranger 6x6 and rescue Jet-Ski are stationed at the Charles City Fire Department, providing a central location for quick responses throughout the area.
