The Marble Rock Library polling place will be temporarily combined with the Floyd County Fairgrounds polling place for the Charles City Community School District Special Election.

In-person absentee voting for the September 8 Special Election begins Wednesday, August 19 and continues through Friday, September 4 at the Floyd County Auditor's Office.

If you'll be unable to vote at the polls on Election Day, you can request an absentee ballot by completing an Absentee Ballot Request Form available through the Iowa Secretary of State's website: https://sos.iowa.gov/voters/absentee-voting

Completed request forms may be submitted to the Floyd County Auditor's Office:

Absentee Ballot Request Deadlines | Requests sent by mail must be postmarked by August 24, 2026

Ballots will begin being mailed on August 19.

If you need to register to vote or update your voter registration, please note that new Iowa voter registration forms are effective July 1.

Looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Clerk!

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the Auditor and staff
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to manage documents and communications
• Maintain accurate records and assist with daily office operations

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Previous clerical/administrative experience preferred

Position Details:
• Up to 29 hours per week
• $20.00 – $22.00/hour (based on experience & qualifications)
• Includes IPERS (Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System)
