Charles City County Sheriff's Office weekly activity report for August 24-30, 2026. Property checks are us checking on businesses and churches during our routine patrols to make sure that they are secure. Directed Patrols are areas in which we have identified as areas of improper driving behaviors and need extra traffic enforcement. We dedicate time throughout our shift to do traffic enforcement in those area.

Today, we added the initials of Deputy Burlie W. Duvall, III, of the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office, to the Thin Blue Line that extends on the top of our wall throughout our office. Deputy Duvall was killed in the line of duty on August 6, 2026. Brother, you will always be remembered. Rest well, we have the watch from here.

🚨 ALERT: MISSING JUVENILE 🚨

The New Kent Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Genesis Pavon-Salgado, 17 years old.
Genesis was last seen at approximately midnight on August 30, 2026. Her clothing description is unknown at this time. She was believed to have been in the Plum Point area and may have initially been traveling on foot. It is now believed that she may have been picked up by an unknown individual. Genesis does not have access to a phone at this time.

Height: 5’02”
Weight: 105 lbs

Sheriff Draper was the longest serving current Sheriff in Virginia for the last 32 years and with over 50 years of law enforcement experience. Rest In Peace Sir 💙💙💙🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
