I interviewed for the best job in the world today! 💛💙

Ten minutes went by all too fast but went all too well! I am overjoyed that I got to share my heart for service with our panel of judges and speak about what’s in store for my work with Special Love. I am so ready to bring on preliminary night 1 tomorrow!

As I step into this week of competition, I am beyond excited for the week ahead of me! What began as a little girl’s dream has led me to this week, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. From the people who have supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me along the way, thank you.

As I prepare to take the Miss West Virginia stage, I am proud to represent my community, my classroom, and the childhood cancer families who inspire my Community Service Initiative.

I am grateful for the opportunity to grow, serve, and share my story. Now it’s time to get to work! ❤️🎗️

Reflecting on my experience volunteering at Special Love’s Golf Tournament ❤️🎗️

This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending and volunteering at Special Love’s Annual Golf Tournament, an event that reminded me exactly what makes Special Love so special.

As a former sibling camper and now a volunteer, I’ve experienced the impact of this organization from many different perspectives. During the reception, I had the opportunity to share my own journey growing up alongside my brother’s cancer diagnosis and how Special Love became a place where I felt seen, supported, and understood. Standing in front of a room full of people who believe so deeply in this mission was both humbling and empowering.

Throughout the weekend, I learned even more about what creates the “Special Love magic.” It’s found in every volunteer who gives their time, every donor who invests in our families, every camper who finds belonging, and every supporter who chooses to make a difference. The magic isn’t just in the programs themselves, it’s in the community that comes together to ensure no childhood cancer family walks this journey alone.

One of the most meaningful parts of the event was connecting with individuals who are so passionate about supporting childhood cancer families. Their generosity, compassion, and commitment to this cause left me feeling inspired and hopeful for the future.

As I continue my journey through the Miss America Opportunity, I am more motivated than ever to build new connections, share Special Love’s story, and expand the reach of this incredible organization. Every conversation creates an opportunity to bring more awareness, support, and resources to the families who need them most.

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend possible and to those who continue to believe in the power of community, compassion, and love. ❤️🎗️

As a Special Love camper, I never knew all the fundraising events that went on to ensure that the camp magic was possible. All I knew was that my camp experience was nothing short of joyful, and that I felt surrounded by a community of support during my family’s fight against pediatric cancer. Today, I was able to volunteer at Special Love’s Annual Golf Tournament and meet the very people who make the experience! A huge “thank you” to every golfer, team sponsor, and donor who continues to dedicate their time and funds to Special Love. Your support and generosity makes our camp magic possible! 🎗️❤️

Happy Feature Friday!

This week is such a “full-circle” moment for me. I have been so lucky to have known Julia for the past 16 years and to have been touched by their friendship. To know Julia is to know the Special Love “camp magic!” I may not remember the moment I met Julia but I have always remembered how they’ve made me feel and the kindness they show everyone!

The world is so lucky to have Julia in it!

Hi everyone! Please help me raise money for this incredible organization! All proceeds go to the Miss West Virginia Organization, to help further academic scholarships for women across America! 

Through the Miss America Opportunity, I have been empowered to turn my family’s story with pediatric cancer into purposeful action. My Community Service Initiative, “Stronger Together: Special Love for Childhood Cancer Families” is dedicated to furthering Special Love’s mission of providing healing through connection for families battling pediatric cancer. This organization has changed my life and has given me the most supportive and understanding friendships that have lasted a lifetime. Special Love’s programming is dedicated to creating connections amongst the pediatric cancer community, with events centered on all members of the family! There are special events for patients, siblings, parents, and whole-family events! This ensures that all members’ stories are heard and shared! Families are provided the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with other families who share the same life experience of battling pediatric cancer, and forging healing through the power of connection.

This fundraiser link not only helps me secure a spot in the top 11, but allows me the opportunity to spread Special Love’s story and mission on the Miss West Virginia stage.

The Miss West Virginia Organization,Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and an official state program of the Miss America Opportunity. Scholarships are administered by the Miss West Virginia Organization and made payable directly to the college university on behalf of the contestant.
