1st Combat Camera Squadron Global Reach... Global Images 🦅 The 1st Combat Camera Squadron (1CTCS) captures still and motion imagery in support of air, sea and ground military operations.

Combat Camera Airmen are an integral part of joint exercises, contingency operations, humanitarian relief efforts and aerial missions. The squadron consists of technical experts who specialize in photojournalism, broadcast video documentation and our dedicated Air Force support professionals.

From Capturing History in Combat Boots to Telling the Story as a Civilian - 47 Years of Service.

Originally from Tuscon, Arizona, Renee Tyron served for 30 years as an enlisted Airman, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. She finished her career as the Chief Enlisted Manager of Ninth Air Force and United Air Force Public Affairs where she oversaw 200 Airmen at 20 expeditionary and joint warfighting installations. She served another 4 at the Pentagon as the Chief of Training Management, Secretary of the Air Force of Public Affairs and 12 years as the Director of Operations at the 1st Combat Camera Squadron where she drove worldwide missions and mentored hundreds of Combat Camera Airmen. Throughout her career, she earned many commendations including the recent induction to the USAF Public Affairs Association Hall of Fame (2026). She officially retires on April 1, 2026. Everyone at the 1st Combat Camera Squadron and the Air Force Public Affairs community wish her the best in her next adventure.
