Spot light on Student Leader Ayden Glover. As a graduating Senior at East Fairmont, Ayden is a completer in the Career Work Skills Training Program. Additionally, Ayden served as Captain of the soccer team, leading his team to regionals and earning a scholarship with Bethany College. Ayden brings great credit upon himself, his school and the Future Leaders Program!

Spotlight on Student Leader Sergeant Brody Bledsoe. Brody has committed to playing baseball at West Liberty after graduation and plans to major in Marketing. Brody is a leader both on and off the field. Brody is not only a student athlete but and honor student and a completer in business management. His actions reflect great credit upon himself, FLP and East Fairmont High School.

Spotlight on FLP Student leader Sergeant Carson Church, as he takes his next step towards an exciting career in Aviation. Carson has enlisted in the Air Force Reserves as an Aerospace Technologist. Carson has been a true leader in East Fairmont High School leading in both Football and Soccer as well being an honor student. Carson will attend the Air Force’s Basic Military Training (BMT) this Summer and plans on attending college in pursuit of an Aerospace Engineering degree. East Fairmont’s Future Leaders Program had it’s beginning this school year of 2026 and is pleased to recognize future leaders such as Carson Church.

A great day for the students at Fairmont East High School/Marion County as the Future Leaders Program holds their official activation ceremony for FLP!

East Fairmont High School held a guidon ceremony on Thursday for its new Future Leaders Program, a statewide class that promotes leadership, citizenship, life skills and military science.

Today Tucker County High School FLP took a road trip to Martinsburg, WV to visit the 167th Airlift Wing of the WV Air National Guard! They had a great time touring the base and learning more about America's premier cargo aircraft, the C-17 Globemaster III. The C-17 has a payload of 170,900 pounds and can travel 6,230 nautical miles on a tank of gas with the ability to refuel in flight! Well, technically the plane has more than one tank, but you get the picture. Our very own West Virginian Airmen participate every day in "real world" missions designed to provide humanitarian assistance and to help keep America safe.
