This summer, in partnership with the WVDE and USDA Summer Food Program for Children, 10 sites across Kanawha County will offer breakfast and/or lunch during specific dates and times. Families do not need to register for those open meal sites...children can come during the posted meal time.

🔵 Meals are for children ages 2-18

KCS will also offer a separate meal box pickup program at two USDA-approved locations. Registration is required for meal box pickup, and the meal box form is now live. The registration link will be in the comments of this post, and is available on our website.

Full schedules, locations, meal times, and meal box registration details are available on the KCS website.

PLEASE SHARE! There's a "forward-thinking female" running in 6 of the 17 Senatorial Districts. The Districts are not small, and each Mountain Mama needs help. Hope you can donate some time, money or other support over these next several months. You'll make some great friends!

Did you watch/listen to any of this today? I did. The message I heard is West Virginia is for sale to the highest bidders. I encourage you to pay attention, do your research, and speak your minds on this issue.

So you know.

So you know.

What are legislative interim meetings? 🏛️

Between the regular 60-day legislative sessions, lawmakers meet about once a month for three days of committee meetings at the Capitol or across the state. These "interims" are typically joint meetings of the Senate and House of Delegates to give members the opportunity to study important issues together, hear from organizations and agencies, review how current laws are working, and prepare legislation for future sessions.

Interims are one of the ways legislators stay informed and keep working for West Virginia year-round!

Hey fam. It’s time! Tomorrow we are gathering impromptu style for an emergency rally against the data center bill 2014.

The WV Legislature has scheduled an out of session meeting discussing many aspects included in the development of data centers tomorrow at 1pm.

We will gather with United West Virginia tomorrow at noon outside the Capitol!

This meeting is not well known to be taking place and as many of us that see this as humanly possible needs to come out to hear what they say, watch what they do and ask about their intentions for natural land space with respect to data centers.

Show up. Show out. Stand in solidarity with us!

This is the schedule for Monday and Tuesday House “Interim” meetings. Notice the lobbyist sponsored presentation on data centers on Monday at 1pm.

Show up and have your voices heard!

It’s your House!
