Illinois SLD Support Project Free training & resources for educators of students with specific learning disabilities in Illinois!

It’s no secret. We love this little life of providing professional learning to . What started as a handful of summer sessions has turned into an entire community of dedicated educators.

We are blown away as we kick off our summer learning lineup on Monday with 486 educators registered across four major sessions:

Science of Learning Microcredential

The Illinois Dyslexia Guide: A Collaborative Book Study

The Illinois Dyscalculia Handbook Book Study

"Just Tell Them" Book Study

While it’s not all about the numbers, we are excited by this level of interest, especially since these trainings are starting the exact same week many of you are just beginning your well-deserved summer break!

That is a lot of dedicated educators choosing to invest their personal time to strengthen instruction and better support students with specific learning disabilities.

From the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU. We can't wait to learn alongside you this summer!

Almost 40 administrators in Huntley School District came together with Amy Weltin, Region 2 Specialist, to learn about Specially Designed Instruction. This is part of an ongoing relationship with the SLD Project. Special thanks to Deanna Gill and Amy MacCrindle for organizing this professional development session! We especially loved spending the afternoon brainstorming and mapping out future learning sessions together. We can’t wait to return for our next session.

This week we have been celebrating our that have officially completed all 8 units of LETRS with us.

But did you know we also continually attend professional learning sessions? Amy Weltin, Region 2 Specialist, and Josh Quick, Region 5 Specialist, have been working hard all week to become Unit 2 certified trainers.

We would never provide any professional learning sessions to educators without being experts ourselves.

The learning NEVER stops!
