On August 9th, Jackson County passed a resolution to participate in Project Mountaineer. We thank them for their commitment to make taxpayers dollars transparent. This is a big step for our local governments moving forward, and with each successful approval we grow closer to a more transparent state.

Check out this report!! Here we are comparing two of our largest expensing banks from 2015-2022. As you can tell United Bank was the clear outlier compared to all other banks which caused such a large space between The Bank of New York Mellon. Today our transparency team headed to Jackson County to pitch our Project Mountaineer initiative. A friendly welcome was admitted to our team on arrival for our statewide transparency aspirations. We cannot stress enough how important each of our local county commissions are, and how much they can influence our future. We hope that our pitch was a success today and we can join Jackson County to the list of Project Mountaineer participants.

Capital Dome Repair Project

In January of 2018 work had just begun in order to repair water leaks in areas where the gold and blue limestone meet. Over time the structure had worn down and there was much need for repairs. This $13.52 million project allowed us to fix such a vital and important part of our unique, and wonderful capital building. This report below is meant to emphasize and show gratitude to the many that helped make the project reconstruction a reality.
