When communities are facing devastating moments like the fires in Georgia, you really see the strength of people and the importance of organizations that are ready to step in and help.

FMDART is actively working to assist where we can, and we’re ready to deploy when our neighbors need us most. We’re still actively working, both on the ground and behind the scenes and just wanted to keep everyone updated. A lot of people have been affected, and we’re doing the best we can to support the community during this difficult time.

We’re thankful we haven’t had to respond in large numbers recently, but times like this are a reminder of why preparedness matters. Being able to respond quickly doesn’t just happen it comes from planning, training, and a commitment to showing up when it counts.

This is what great nonprofits do. They show up, they adapt, and they serve.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted as they work through this, and we’ll continue doing everything we can to help.

Please do not burn anything right now we are way to dry.

The burn ban is still in place across South Carolina.
Dry conditions, gusty winds, and low humidity continue to fuel a high wildfire risk statewide. The South Carolina Forestry Commission has issued a State Forester’s Burning Ban until further notice.
This ban means no outdoor burning in unincorporated areas. That includes yard debris, prescribed burns, campfires, bonfires, and any recreational fires.
