Happy Pride Month!

As nursing leaders, we always strive to create a healthy and supportive environment for both our patients and other healthcare workers. This month we want to take the time to consider ways we can better advocate for those who often feel alienated by the medical field due to their identity. Everyone deserves to feel safe and comfortable when receiving treatment and nurses play an integral role in creating that environment.

We have had a great month so far with both National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week. These weeks increase visibility for nurses and other healthcare workers who work tirelessly to care for others. To show support for Monongalia County's nurses, the County Commissioner named May 6-12, 2026 Nurses Week in collaboration with some of our amazing board members!
