Running for Honor💪

The 437th Aerial Port Squadron hosted a Port Dawg Memorial Run to honor aerial transportation members who have lost their lives this year and in years past.

Airmen participated in a 2.2-mile run while carrying cargo tie-down hooks, passing them along throughout the course to symbolize that no one has to endure life’s heaviest burdens alone.

When a storm is heading our way, the grocery store shelves empty out fast. The best time to put together your family's emergency kit is before the forecast gets stormy!

A solid emergency kit should support your household for at least 72 hours. Here are some essentials to gather this week:
Water: One gallon per person, per day (plus extra for your pets!).
Food: Non-perishable, easy-to-prepare snacks and meals (and don't forget the manual can opener)!
Power & Light: Flashlights, a battery-powered weather radio, and plenty of extra batteries. Portable phone power banks are a lifesaver!
Health & Safety: A well-stocked first aid kit, a 7-day supply of daily medications, and personal hygiene items.
Important Documents: Keep copies of IDs, birth certificates, insurance policies, and medical records sealed in a waterproof bag.
Cash: If the power goes out, neighborhood ATMs and credit card machines might not work.
Pro-Tip: Check your kit every 6 months to swap out expiring snacks, water, and batteries.

What is the one "must-have" comfort item in your family's kit that helps keep everyone calm? (Favorite board games? A specific snack?) Drop your recommendations in the comments! 👇
