We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Please take extra precautions if you choose to deep fry your turkey. Any amount of water or ice still on or in your turkey could cause the oil to explosively boil over. Make sure your deep fryer is not near your siding, under the eves of the house, or inside your garage, as these are all places homes are most likely to catch fire while grilling or deep frying.
Use an abundance of common sense, don’t leave food cooking unattended, and if you do happen to have a grease fire, smother it with baking soda - NOT WATER! Water only makes grease fires spread and splash around. Baking soda will starve the fire of oxygen and put it out quickly.
Stay safe, and hopefully you will not need to be seeing us at your celebration this year! 😉
