Public comments are welcomed by the Public Service Commission of West Virginia at a hearing scheduled for August 31 on a proposal to allow West Virginia-American Water Co. (WVAWC) to acquire Bluefield’s sewer assets. The hearing is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Commission headquarters at 201 Brooks St., Charleston. It will be followed by an evidentiary hearing to begin at 9:30 a.m. on September 1.

Interested persons intending to make a public comment should register with the Commission by 4 p.m. on August 28. Registration may be made through the Microsoft Teams meeting link at: https://bit.ly/wvpsc20260831 . You may also register by calling Alexis Weimer at (304) 340-0822 or Andrew Gallagher at (304) 340-0820; or by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. Persons wishing to comment in person at the public comment hearing should register to speak by 5:30 p.m. on August 31 at the PSC building.

The Public Service Commission of West Virginia has scheduled a virtual and in-person public comment hearing for July into construction of a $2.48 billion gas-electric generation plant in Monongalia County and three solar energy projects. Those who wish to participate in the public comment hearing should register with the Commission by 4 p.m. on July 10. Registration may be made through the Microsoft Teams meeting link at: https://bit.ly/wvpsc20260715 .
