Peace Officer Ministries is a ministry of Redeemer Lutheran Church, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. POM is dedicated to "Outfitting our heroes with the Gospel of Jesus Christ." (POM) is a Christian law enforcement chaplaincy ministry that serves as a chaplaincy resource for officers, chaplains, police agencies, churches, and communities. Constable Deborah Martinez-Garibay was shot and killed while serving an eviction notice at 3493 East Lind Road in Tucson at 11:15 am.

A Tennessee State Trooper, Sgt. Lee Russell, was also killed in the crash.
