Before he was the most charming host on television, Graham Norton was a closeted gay kid in rural Ireland with absolutely no way out - except America.

He never made it to LA. He ran out of money in San Francisco, stepped off a bus, and walked straight into Gay Pride.

A flatbed truck of drag queens came around the corner. Then Grace Jones floated by on a parade float. He said his "Irish head and heart were close to bursting."

From that kid with no context, to 63 years old this week and one of the most beloved hosts on television - happy birthday, Graham Norton.

Elliot Page is set to introduce an all-trans and non-binary production of William Shakespeare’s play ‘As You Like It’ this July.

The actor will team up with Trans What You Will Theatre for the show, which will premiere in London on 24 July. Page will join the show from New York via a livestream, and q***r trans director Phoebe Kemp will direct.

Trans What You Will Theatre partnered with Sir Ian McKellen last year to stage an all-trans version of ‘Twelfth Night’, also directed by Kemp. The show raised £8,000 for trans charity Not A Phase.

Speaking about ‘As You Like It’, Page said: “Shakespeare wrote characters who defy easy categories long before we had language for it – and that feels as relevant now as it ever has. Trans What You Will is proving that these stories have always belonged to us, and I’m honored to support that work. Can’t wait to share this with an audience.”

38 years ago, the largest community arts project in history became a national icon.

The AIDS Memorial Quilt, displayed on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., covered a space larger than a football field and included 1,920 panels. At sunrise, celebrities, politicians, families, lovers and friends read aloud the 1,920 names of the people represented in the Quilt. The reading of names is now a tradition followed at nearly every Quilt display. Half a million people visited the Quilt that weekend.
