Lowcountry Young Democrats is the chapter of the Young Democrats of South Carolina covering Berkeley Charleston and Dorchester County. YDSC is the governing state body of all related county, caucus, advocacy, young voter and college/university Democratic organizations within the state of South Carolina. In addition, it shall have the sole authority to govern both College Democrats and Young Democr

ats affiliated and name recognized units within the state. Its power is derived from the South Carolina Democratic Party and the Young Democrats of America. YDSC, under the partnership of the South Carolina Democratic Party, pledges to support the philosophy and purpose of the Democratic Party. Furthermore, YDSC declares its intentions to support efforts to increase the participation of individuals and voters under the age of 40, in the Democratic Party's affairs and practices. YDSC shall educate and train their members so that they may be better able to:
(a) educate individuals and voters on the philosophy of the Democratic Party;
(b) work with Democrats across the country to achieve the goals of the YDSC and the Democratic Party; and
(c) work to bring more people into the political process.

Honoring all who served! Thank you for your service!

NOTE: A military Veteran is anyone who has served in the armed forces. Although there are different kinds of military veterans, such as combat and war veterans, all veterans are treated equally. Retirees who either served for 20+ years or were medically discharged are also Veterans.

And never forget…the families of these veterans also served, although not on active duty. Theirs might have been the hardest jobs of all.
