Charleston Hope

Charleston Hope In SC, 1 in 3 children don’t have access to mental health care. We’re committed to changing that.

We partner with Title 1 schools in the tri-county area to provide:

➡️ school-based 1-1 therapy
➡️ afterschool, mental health infused girls programs Charleston Hope increases access to mental and behavioral health programs in Title I schools to enhance student well-being.

Right now, 1 in 3 children in South Carolina cannot access the mental health care they need. In the schools we serve, students are carrying anxiety, grief, and trauma — often without a single safe space to process it.

Charleston Hope is changing that.

Across schools and communities, our team shows up every single day to create access, connection, and hope for students and families who need it most. This film captures that work — and the people behind it.

We are raising $45,000 by June 30 to expand our reach and serve more students next school year. Every dollar goes directly to care. No overhead. No admin costs. Just kids finally getting the support they deserve.

Watch. Share. Give. Every action moves us closer to the goal.

Wow!!! What a day yesterday at our second annual Flourish Brunch!!! 150 women gathered together to experience what it’s like to be a student in a Charleston Hope program and to raise $30,000 for our work! Because of this room, and several who couldn’t make it, we hit our goal and will be expanding services to 3 and 4 year olds, increasing the number of therapy hours we can provide free of charge to students and families, and growing our Step-In Enrichment Program from 3 schools to 5 next school year!!

We heard an amazing talk from , our host was dynamic and brought the energy, and a few of our Step-In girls captivated our hearts as they led us in a Step-In lesson and our chant!!

Thank you for an incredible day and for your belief in the work we do! Together, we are ensuring every kid in our community has the mental and behavioral health resources they need to thrive!!

We already can’t wait for next year!!

We wrapped up an incredible day of raising $30,000 for our programs at our Flourish Brunch! To end the day, we had a THRIVE graduation for students graduating a year of therapy. Listen to this story our Executive Director shares about a conversation she had with a THRIVE parent.

We are so grateful for all of those that invest in the mission of Charleston Hope and for our incredible staff of therapists, interns, and program coordinators who make our programs one that a parent literally wants to move her kids school placement for next year into one Charleston Hope is at!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us our annual Flourish Brunch. 💐

From our inspiring speakers and wellness vendors to every guest who attended and donated — thank you for helping make this day so meaningful.

Because of this incredible community, we exceeded our goal of $30,000 to expand therapy access to young students, grow our Step-In program and provide over 1,200 hours of free school-based therapy for students.

Together, we didn’t just exceed a goal… we created impact. ✨

400 laps around a track.
100 miles.
24 hours +
One mission: HOPE

This weekend at the Stoney 100, runners kept showing up lap after lap, through exhaustion, soreness, laughter, late-night conversations, sunrises, and moments where quitting would have been easier.

Together, this community raised over $35,000 for Charleston Hope.

People believing that mental health care and hope should be accessible to every child.

That’s what Charleston Hope is about.

Hope that shows up again and again, just like every lap run this weekend.
To every runner, volunteer, donor, sponsor, and supporter: THANK YOU!

A specific thank you to and Sean Rhodes, who had a vision over a year and half ago to plan a race to raise awareness for mental health and support our mission. None of this would have happened without YOU!

You helped turn miles into impact.
Fatigue into purpose.
A simple track into a powerful reminder that hope keeps moving forward.

What a weekend.
What a community.
What a gift to witness.

There are still opportunities to be a part through our 24 Hours of Hope. For 24 hours straight, we’re creating a living picture of what it looks like to show up for someone,
not when it’s easy, but when it matters most. Anyone can sign up just to be present and walk or run for an hour.

Would you take one?

Let’s fill every hour.
Let’s show Charleston what it looks like to show up.
Take an hour. Step in. Be part of the Stoney 100.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, but for the students we serve, the need is year-round.

What if, together, we could provide 640 hours of therapy for students in our community?

These are more than just hours on a calendar, but moments where a student feels safe, heard, and no longer alone.

Can you imagine this?
A student walking into a room and finally exhaling.
A conversation that changes the direction of a life.

That’s how transformation takes place. Not all at once, but one hour at a time.

Through Together for Mental Health:
$125 provides one counseling session.

This is our opportunity to build something that lasts, a community that shows up when it matters most.

Be part of the 640.

Give a session.
