Charleston Peninsula Democrats The Peninsula Dems are back! Our Instagram account now serves as our primary contact point. Follow us there for updates!

Interested in helping us maintain our page? Please email us at [email protected]. The Charleston Peninsula is retaking its historical role as a place of pride and inspiration for Democrats, progressives, and political thought, generally. We want to create lasting connections between the Charleston Peninsula and the Democratic Party, instead of merely looking for votes at election times. We want to dream big and put in the sweat necessary to realize a better future. In order to accomplish this task and ensure these efforts guide the political future of South Carolina, the Peninsula Democrats are reaching out to Peninsula residents, professionals, and students, as well as anyone who has a special place in their heart for downtown Charleston.

Confused, furious, or just trying to keep up with the redistricting chaos? We’ve got answers, good people, and cold b**r.

Come see us on Wednesday, May 27 at 6 PM at Union Station (652-A King) for the Peninsula Dems May happy hour and meeting.

State Senator Ed Sutton will give us the State House download: where things stand on redistricting, what it means for Charleston and our congressional races, and the big wins and losses from this year’s legislative session.

More details and sign up here: https://www.mobilize.us/charlestondems/event/955769/

Redistricting is moving fast. So are we. Senator Sutton is one of the many Democrats leading the fight against redistricting in the Senate right now.

Come for the update. Stay for the b**r. Leave slightly less alarmed and much better informed.

See you next Wednesday!
