Recovery doesn’t look the same for everyone — and it doesn’t have to.

At Lantern Residences, we support multiple pathways to recovery, including Medication-Assisted Treatment. What matters is building stability, structure, community, and a life worth protecting.

A safe place to live is only the beginning.

This Lantern Residences home is located in North Charleston in a prime location designed to help residents succeed—even without a car. Access to employment, public transportation, essential services, recovery resources, and community support can make a major difference when someone is rebuilding their life.

And we provide more than a bed. Residents receive structured transitional living and personalized case management to help with employment, healthcare, benefits, transportation, recovery resources, and other barriers standing between them and long-term stability.

At Lantern, the conversation doesn’t stop at:

“Do you need a bed?”

We also want to know:

Do you have healthcare?
Do you have your identification documents?
Are you working or trying to get back to work?
Interested in a GED, college, or vocational training?
Need help connecting to counseling or community resources?
Do you have a plan for permanent housing after Lantern?

Because long-term stability takes more than four walls.

Our case management team helps residents identify what’s getting in the way and work toward the next step.

Families, referral partners, and individuals can message Lantern today for availability and referral information.

COMING SOON: LANTERN RECOVERY 🏮

Recovery is about more than staying away from what almost destroyed your life.

It’s about figuring out who you want to become next.

Lantern Recovery is being built as an open, community-based meeting focused on:

Recovery. Mindset. Goals. Growth.

With a strong SMART Recovery foundation, we’ll talk about real-life tools for managing thoughts, building better habits, setting goals, finding purpose, staying accountable, and continuing to grow.

AA, NA, MAT, faith-based, secular, or still figuring out your path — you’re welcome here.

There is no one-size-fits-all recovery story.

We’re rebuilding lives here.

🏮 Lantern Recovery
Launching soon. Open to the community.

🎓 Resident Shoutout: Noah!

We want to take a moment to recognize Noah and the work he has been putting into rebuilding his life.

Today, Noah is starting school after receiving a Pell Grant, and we couldn’t be more excited to see him take this next step.

From his dedication to recovery to the way he has used Lantern Residences as a springboard to create new opportunities for himself, Noah is showing exactly what can happen when someone combines the right environment with hard work and a willingness to move forward.

Recovery is about more than staying sober. It’s about rebuilding a life, creating opportunities, and continuing to grow.

Congratulations, Noah. Keep pushing, keep building, and keep up the great work. We’re proud to have you as part of the Lantern community! 🎓💪

Different recovery pathways. Same goal: a more stable life.

At Lantern, we believe recovery should be focused on progress — not judging someone because their pathway looks different.

MAT is welcome. Peer support is welcome. Community is welcome. Structure and accountability are always part of the equation.

Families and referral partners can message us directly for more information.

Charleston-area employers: we want to connect you with men who are ready to work and ready for a second chance.

Lantern Residences helps residents rebuild through structured housing, case management, accountability, and connections to employment and community resources.

Our goal is simple: create a dependable workforce pipeline for local employers while helping men rebuild their lives.

Hiring a Lantern resident is always free. Share your openings with us, and we’ll help connect you with residents who may be a strong fit for your team.

And if your company wants to go a step further, monthly sponsorships help provide scholarship-style access to Lantern for men who want to change their lives but cannot afford to get through the door—whether they are coming from jail, inpatient treatment, homelessness, or another difficult transition.

Hire locally. Give someone a second chance. Build a stronger workforce.

👉 Employers: Contact us to share your current or recurring job openings.
👉 Businesses wanting to make a bigger impact: Ask about becoming a monthly sponsor.
