We just added a TON of early readers books to our shelves ✨ Most of these were at the suggestion of Carolyn Stiles from Unity Elementary 🏫❤️
How to Save an Owl by Kate Messner was nominated for the Purple Finch Award for readers in 3rd and 4th grades. We added this and How to Save a Tortoise from her Wildlife Rescue series today.
Zoom, Goodnight Gorilla, and The Tree and the River are all fantastic wordless books for early readers. They all for readers to make up their own story with the turn of every page. (While Cars and Trucks and Things That Go is not exactly wordless, it can still be fun to imagine where everything is going!)
Finally, we added lots of Bob Book's to our library! These books have been developed for early readers to help them build their skills. The stages we have are designed for kids in kindergarten to first grade. They help kids with repetition, mastering basic phonics, sight words, vowel sounds, one to two syllable words, and high frequency words. The books also get progressively longer to help kids graduate to chapter books.
