Hello friends, I know it is going to be a hot one today and conserving water is not easy. PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE UNDER A WATER RESTRICTION for about a month longer. Do not fill your pool, water your grass or wash your car. If you see your neighbors doing those things and you know them please let them know about the water restrictions. We have pushed out this message to the whole community but there still seems to be some that didn't get it. If our temporary tanks run out of water, the whole system will be down approximately 12 hours until the wells catch up. I don't know what else to do to encourage water conservation. Thank you to those that are cooperating.

Pride of Baltimore is coming to Havre de Grace this weekend!

***Chesapeake Bay Ship Watcher Update***

Keep a weather eye out, PRIDE II will be departing Baltimore tomorrow in preparation for our upcoming Havre de Grace Star-Spangled Banner NHT Visit. The visit is in partnership with Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway, Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail, City of Havre de Grace, & The Chesapeake Independent Blues.

The plan is to cast off lines sometime after noon tomorrow, sail out into the Chesapeake, & drop the hook for the night. The anchorage location is dependent on the weather, but, given the forecast, it will likely be off Gibson Island. Friday morning the crew will haul back & set sail for Havre de Grace. PRIDE II can be expected to be viewable from the shore in town at 5 PM, take sail in by 5:30 PM, & be alongside the dock by 6.

The vessel's track & the sails set will be dependent on the wind & weather. You can track PRIDE as she travels by going to pride2.org/pride-of.../pride-ii-is-underway/.

Does anyone recognize this cutie? He was found at Cecil & Baltimore Streets and taken to the Cecil County animal shelter in Chesapeake City. He is not micro-chipped. They have a 5 day stray hold policy so hopefully his owners will find him soon.

The Town is currently drawing down the water that is in the tower to empty it for the preparation of painting. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU? As the tower empties and the pressure drops you may experience lower water pressure. When this happens to a somewhat significant degree we will switch to the temporary system which is pressurized and will give you regular water pressure again. So please let us know if you are experiencing low water pressure and we will evaluate the situation and determine when to "turn on" the temporary "pressure truck" system. The goal is to get as much water out of the tower as possible without adverse effects to our residents. So please let us know if you experience low water pressure and where you are located in town. You can comment here as I will monitor or call. Thanks
