Please bring the craft project you are currently working on and enjoy great conversation and expert crafting tips. If you don't have a craft project, we can provide assistance. We also host crafter's socials at our East Jordan Center (951 Mill St) every Tuesday at 10AM and on Beaver Island at Peaine Township Hall every Monday and Thursday at 11AM. POSITION OVERVIEW:
Charlevoix County Commission on Aging is seeking a part-time Cook to join our team at the Boyne Area Senior Center—an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through food and service.
This position offers a great weekday schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (about 25 hours per week), with no weekends. Evening hours are limited to Wednesdays (until 7:00 p.m.) from June through August.
In this role, you’ll support our daily meal program by assisting with meal preparation for both congregate and home-delivered meals, helping with meal service such as packaging or serving, and kitchen upkeep.
We’re looking for someone dependable, flexible, and comfortable working independently, who also brings a positive attitude and enjoys working with older adults.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
* Must possess the physical abilities to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and transfer items to and from vehicles and/or dining and office facilities.
* Strong positive communication skills.
* Must possess a valid driver's license to travel from one location to the other.

ENVIRONMENT:
Climate-controlled office building atmosphere, with various locations including a gymnasium, senior center, commercial kitchen, and multiple offices.
