More than 40 Ally volunteers recently came together to create 40 welcome baskets for the women and girls at Crittenton. Each basket was thoughtfully assembled to provide comfort, encouragement, and a warm reminder that our residents are supported by a caring community.

Congratulations and a huge thank you to our amazing summer intern, Kimora, on successfully completing her internship through the City of Charlotte’s Mayor’s Youth Employment Program (MYEP)! 🌟

Throughout her time with us, she brought so much enthusiasm, a bright energy, and a genuine eagerness to learn. Whether tackling new projects or trying things she’d never done before, she stepped up to every challenge with confidence and a positive attitude.

We are so proud of everything she accomplished this summer and grateful for her hard work and dedication to Crittenton. We know she has a very bright future ahead! 💙✨

A day of learning and connection! 🦋🌿

Crittenton enjoyed attending the Share-a-Latte Summer Field Trip hosted by SHARE Charlotte at Daniel Stowe Conservancy . We toured the Butterfly Bungalow, learned about the butterfly life cycle and the importance of pollinators, and explored the beautiful gardens.

Thank you to Share Charlotte for another great opportunity to connect with fellow nonprofits while learning from an incredible community partner!

🌼 At Crittenton, we're empowering moms with the knowledge, confidence, and support they need to give their babies the strongest possible start.

Our on-site Nurturing Parenting classes, led by staff member Tracie McLeod, provide trauma-informed, evidence-based guidance for expectant and new mothers, helping them build healthy parenting skills, strengthen family bonds, and create better tomorrows.

Together, we're helping families break intergenerational cycles of trauma by replacing harmful patterns with nurturing relationship, giving moms and children the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.

As part of Kimora's internship through City of Charlotte Government Mayor's Youth Employment Program (MYEP), she recently led a creative flower-making activity with our clients! 🌸

Using colorful pipe cleaners, participants designed their own unique flowers while enjoying a fun, hands-on activity that encouraged creativity, conversation, and fine motor skill development. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, create, and share smiles together.

We're thankful for Kimora's dedication and the positive energy she has brought to our program throughout her internship. Thank you, Kimora, for making a meaningful impact on our clients!

This month we recognized team members who work behind the scenes to keep our physical spaces safe, clean, beautiful, and trauma-informed!

👏 Dafney
Dafney goes above and beyond to maintain an organized, welcoming environment on Legacy Hall. From hosting hall cleaning days to reorganizing client lounges and stepping up during the COA process, her consistent efforts help clients feel safe, supported, and secure.

👏 Alina
Alina ensures our physical spaces are always ready for clients to feel at home! She diligently prepares client rooms prior to arrival, maintains safe garden areas, and keeps various facility spaces welcoming and functional.

👏 Sarah
Sarah keeps our facility running smoothly with her keen eye for detail and safety. Thanks to her hard work on major projects like the playground and parking upgrades, she ensures our space remains safe, accessible, and welcoming for everyone.

👏 Brent
Brent works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our facility beautiful, safe, and fully functional. From handling urgent maintenance requests and fixing the AC to painting, managing vendors, and heavy lifting, his prompt responsiveness and helpful attitude mean the world to our team.
