Charlotte Fire mourns the loss of Cleveland County EMS Paramedic and Field Training Officer Ashley Moore, who was killed in the line of duty Monday morning following a traffic collision in Gaston County.
Moore, 37, served Cleveland County EMS for nine years with unwavering dedication to her patients, coworkers, and community. She was riding in an ambulance while on duty when it was struck from behind on U.S. Highway 74, causing the ambulance to crash. Despite the efforts of first responders, she tragically lost her life.
Ashley exemplified the highest standards of emergency medical service and was a trusted Field Training Officer who helped prepare and mentor the next generation of paramedics. Her commitment to serving others leaves a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Our thoughts are with Ashley's family, the members of Cleveland County EMS, and all who are grieving this heartbreaking loss. We stand in solidarity with our EMS partners as we honor Ashley's service, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice.
