Fleet Week is a time to honor and celebrate the dedication, sacrifice, and service of our Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard men and women who proudly defend our nation every day. 🇺🇸

As ships arrive in ports across the country and communities gather to welcome service members, we are reminded of the strength, commitment, and courage it takes to serve far from home and loved ones.

Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. proudly supports the sons and daughters serving at sea, on shore, and around the world. We also recognize the military families standing beside them through every deployment, mission, and homecoming.

To all who serve in the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, thank you for your unwavering dedication to protecting our freedoms and keeping our nation strong.

Charlotte celebrated Memorial Day Monday May 25, 2026. A memorial was presented at the Old Court House after the parade to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The VFW Post 2406 presented the program, Charlotte Bands performed, the Scouts raised and lowered the American Flag and everyone in attendance participated in the Buddy Poppy Memorial.

Ace Hardware and the VFW partner to distribute one million free American flags at participating stores on May 23, honoring fallen service members and supporting local VFW graveside tributes this Memorial Day.
