ON THIS DAY…
In 1945, the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Three days later, the U.S. dropped a second bomb, this time on Nagasaki. The initial blast killed an estimated 80,000 people; thousands more died later from radiation. On August 15, Japan surrendered, effectively ending the Second World War.

Maple City VFW had their “CRUISE IN” Tuesday evening July 16, 5 - 8p. Great evening with the Charlotte Cruisers presenting 31 vehicles for the evening’s entertainment and $250 donation to the Post to go towards maintaining the Honor Guard vehicle . Thank you “Cruisers “for your support .
