🚨 Tech giant Digital Realty is demolishing a 100-year old historic building in Charlotte to build a data center.

This is yet another example of how data center developers are able to behave with complete disregard for the communities they're in. We demand that our city and state government take action to stop the reckless expansion of data centers in NC!

As North Carolina is experiencing a severe drought and our utility bills are skyrocketing, multi-billion dollar tech corporations are building hundreds of data centers across the state.

Our public pressure forced Charlotte City Council to pass a 150-day moratorium on data centers, but we can't stop here—we demand that our state government stop the reckless expansion of data centers in our communities. Join us next Thursday to discuss what's next in the movement!

STOP ICE TERROR NOW!

We gathered in Charlotte this past Saturday to demand justice for Lorenzo, Joan, Juan, and every victim of ICE. In just the past weeks, three immigrant workers have been killed by ICE. These murders did not just happen on accident, it is the direct result of the Trump administration and the policies of the US government.

We must not accept this as normal and continue the fight in the streets until ICE is abolished! We won’t stop demanding justice—we will fight until we end ICE's war on our communities and win full rights for all immigrants!

This summer, capitalism has reached its breaking point. Elon Musk has become the world's first trillionaire, amassing unimaginable wealth while working families struggle to survive. At the same time, socialism is soaring in popularity right here in the belly of the beast as an alternative to capitalism's dead-end logic.

In this course presented by The People's Forum we will discuss why socialism is not only possible, but urgently necessary. Through lessons on class struggle, revolutionary theory, and the strategic tools of working-class organizing, we will examine how we can build a socialist future and take on the billionaire class once and for all.

On Friday, we joined dozens of residents living in mobile home parks in Morganton, NC to protest outside the office of their landlord, Gvest Capital/MHP Properties.

They're fighting against steep rate hikes, neglect from management, and other serious issues.

CHARLOTTE SAYS: Justice for Lorenzo, Joan, and all victims of ICE terror!

Charlotte, NC joins over 70 cities today in a national day of protest against ICE's killing spree. In just 8 days, 3 immigrant workers have been killed by ICE — Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, ME, and an unidentified man fleeing ICE in St. Augustine, FL.

These deaths are the direct result of a mass deportation machine funded by both parties. We demand killer ICE agents be held accountable, full rights for immigrants, and the abolition of ICE!

YOUTH NEED RESOURCES, NOT OVERPOLICING!

Charlotte's Public Safety Committee recently recommended the city enforce a new 9:00pm curfew for anyone under 18, in response to so-called “teen takeovers”.

The measure will only further criminalize our youth, at a time when the city is cutting funding for youth initiatives and increasing the police budget. We need summer programs, third spaces, and resources for our youth—not more police!
