Tore out and removed water damaged material in the office area of the Help Center. Room was cleaned and sealed. Crew did a great job!

Getting to help with these projects gives the men a sense of purpose to know they are doing what’s right. It also saves money for the Help Center so they can focus funds where needed. This crew not only does litter pick up (which should happen when people litter) they do indoor when weather is an issue and can’t work outside. I’m very proud of them and the deputies who oversee the day to day. Rock on!

This week 3 of our Field Training Officers (FTO) completed their class with TCI in Davidson Co. Congratulations to FTO’s Carney, Moss and Mullin along with all the others who have accepted the responsibility of training new hire to meet the challenges of corrections. Make us proud.

The Wall came to town and the Jail Industries crew had the opportunity/privilege to be a part of the assembly.  The amount of work these guys do in the community to help out is unmeasurable. Being on these crews, not only give them an opportunity to reduce their sentence, but also get out and be a productive part of the community.

Today was another mile stone for people at the jail. We celebrated 4 ladies and 6 men who completed their GED or Recovery Skills classes. 5 men had already completed their GED and were released prior to this graduation. We are extremely proud of the dedication these men and women put forth to accomplish their goals.

Here at the jail it’s been busy a busy week. Outside the crews helped repair the stands at the fairgrounds. One crew helped move furniture for DPD. We had baptisms with the Chaplaincy program and volunteers. I would like to thank all that were involved in everything this week. Without your dedication things would not be possible. It takes a village.
