“After deciding the fall of his junior year that he wanted to attend law school, 2ndLt Joshua Heller was still searching for what to do with a law degree. He found his answer when he received an email from a Marine Officer Selection Officer presenting him the opportunity to become a Marine Judge Advocate. 2ndLt Heller knew from that moment on what he wanted to be and would stop at nothing less than to fully realize that desire. After graduating from OCS and receiving his undergrad degree, 2ndLt Heller commissioned with the USMC and attended Liberty University Law where he is currently a 2L. 2ndLt Heller completed a summer internship with the USMC, working with other Judge Advocates at the Pentagon this summer and looks forward to the exciting opportunities in front of him in the Marine Corps”

Hell of a day at today’s pool function at .charlottesville! The Marines and candidates conducted a physical fitness test (PFT), followed by a HITT (High Intensity Tactical Training) workout and finished off the day with some OCS prep classes lead by the newly commissioned Lieutenants!

We are looking forward to many of the candidates you see in the photo securing their spot on the next selection board in the near future!

Congratulations to Cpl Shelton who contracted for PLC 24 today! Cpl Shelton is a Liberty University student and a 1371 Combat Engineer at C Co, 4th CEB in Lynchburg, Va.

If selected, he will attend Officer Candidate School next summer for 10 weeks and then return to Liberty to finish his senior year.
