Join us in solidarity at 4 p.m. on Thursday May 21 in Richmond to march for workers' rights. This event is being organized alongside our union partners in the Virginia Public Sector Labor Coalition.

Labor in the Park was a fantastic event! Huge thanks to our local Labor coalition friends, the community members who showed up in support, and the elected officials and candidates who spoke. It is clear: our community stands with workers for fair wages, safe working conditions, and bargaining rights for all. Cville is a union town!

At the VEA Convention today, the Albemarle Education Association was awarded the A+ Gold Award for Top Membership Growth!

The Blue Ridge UniServ also won the award for top UniServ Growth in the state, under the leadership of our fantastic UD, Bob Fink.

Last April, the AEA had 759 members. Today we have 1077. We have reached majority membership of our licensed staff and have doubled our ESP membership in that time, and we are NOT done.

Thanks to our 58 amazing Union Reps and incredible Member Organizer for all of their hard work! Together, we have created a union that inspires, empowers, and draws people in. Together, WE are the union!
