Sexual Assault Resource Agency

Sexual Assault Resource Agency SARA provides support to all survivors of sexual violence and prevention programs to the community.

SARA works with the City of Charlottesville, and Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson Counties. We also occasionally serve survivors from a broader regional area (for example Buckingham County) because we may be the closest rape crisis center or because they may need to come to UVA hospital. We don't charge for our services, and while we do receive grant funding, this does not cover all

of our expenses. It is through community support that we are able to fill the funding gap and continue to provide services to further our mission.
