United Sisters at UVA

United Sisters aims to empower women on grounds and to establish a sisterhood between the women at UVA & the greater Charlottesville Community.

United Sisters implements its mission through education,discussion,leadership and service with an emphasis on self and cultural community development. On-grounds, US will have monthly discussions and activities on various issues facing minority women at UVA and elsewhere. US members can also serve as mentors to the young ladies of the Sisterly Love mentoring program at Charlottesville High School.

All are welcomed to join this organization as we unite to improve,empower and celebrate young women of all cultures and backgrounds! Stay tuned for community service events and membership activities! We hope to see you at the next United Sisters meeting!

United Sisters has an upcoming community service opportunity! Join us this Saturday as we participate in Habitat for Humanity's 4th annual rake-a-thon. This is a great way to give back to our community! All funds raised at the event go directly to fund Project 20, Habitat for Humanity's commitment to build at least 20 homes annually! Join us on Tuesday, November 8th for our Bar Night Fundraiser at The Biltmare. Wristbands for discounted drinks are $4 in advance and can be purchased by venmo or at our table later this week.
