Thank you to longtime Trust donors Jeff Turner & Helen I'Anson, for donating the proceeds of their recent Pop-Up Exhibit at Gay Street Gallery to the Kevin H. Adams Memorial Endowment. 🫶

This endowment, created in Kevin's memory by his husband, Jay Ward Brown, supports initiatives like our Artists-in-Residence program that prioritizes the growth and mentorship of emerging artists in and around Shenandoah 🎨

"When I see that donation on our bank statement every month, it's a reminder that we live just 30 minutes from the park and should get out there, get involved, and enjoy it."

For Club 105 members, Ron Boehmer and Dalton Cox, philanthropy is about more than supporting a great cause; it's about finding a community and engaging with things you care about. That's the spirit behind Club 105.

As Shenandoah celebrates 90 years, your generosity can make big impact to help the park remain a place of inspiration for generations to come. 💚

Love Shenandoah? Here's how you can support the park with every drive 🐻🚗

By purchasing or renewing a Shenandoah license plate through the Virginia DMV, $15 goes straight to the SNPT to fuel critical projects and programs at our favorite national park! 🏞️

In 2025 alone, this program raised nearly $300,000 to keep Shenandoah wild, resilient, and inspiring for generations to come. 💚

This weekend, two artists who live and work in the shadow of Shenandoah are bringing their craft to Gay Street Gallery in Washington, VA.

Jeff Turner and Helen I’Anson of Orchard Peak Turners make objects from what their land gives them; wood from fallen trees, salvaged metal given new form. Helen brings the rigor of three decades of scientific research at Washington and Lee; Jeff brings 42 years of Washington, DC legal practice and a decade of learning to make things with his hands.

Every dollar of their proceeds this weekend goes to the Shenandoah National Park Trust’s Kevin H. Adams Memorial Endowment — a gesture that feels right at home in a gallery that has long been part of our story. Gay Street Gallery was the creative home of the late Kevin H. Adams, whose Memorial Endowment continues to support artists inspired by this park and its landscapes. 💚

Showing Our Love! 🐻🌲💚

Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves for Shenandoah at our 5th Annual Show Your Love event last weekend! 💪

Volunteers from across the region came together to remove invasive plants, restore historic cabins and fences, maintain trails, and so much more — all to protect this spectacular place we cherish. Year after year, you show up — and it means everything. 🫶

Also, a special shoutout to the partners who made it all possible 🤝

At the Shenandoah National Park Trust, we’re proud to stand alongside the park to help extend its capacity, enrich the visitor experience, and protect what makes this landscape such a treasured part of America’s story. 💚

Taking a trip to Shenandoah? Check out these tips to make sure you have an unforgettable adventure (without involving Search and Rescue!) ⬇️

💧Bring plenty of water and salty snacks to sustain your energy (at least one quart of water per hour of activity)

🥾Wear sturdy footwear and dress in layers no matter the forecast

🗺️ Cell service is not the most reliable in the park, so take the extra paper maps offered at the entrance and visitor stations

🚶Watch your step and NEVER walk around the top of a waterfall

Today is Give Local Piedmont — and this is our moment to show up for Shenandoah National Park.

We’re working to raise $22,000 to fund urgent priorities across the park — from restoring storm-damaged trails and protecting wildlife habitats to equipping Search & Rescue teams and inspiring the next generation of park stewards.

Shenandoah belongs to all of us. Its forests, overlooks, and stories are part of what makes this region home. Today, your gift provides the flexible funding needed to respond where help is needed most.

Join us. Give before midnight. Let’s protect Shenandoah — together. 💚
